The KIWANIS Mission

The principle core of the Kiwanis mission is the belief that the most effecitve way to enhance a community is to enhance its children. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things will happen.

The Rewards

One act of kindness can change the course of a life. Proving that one can make a difference, Kiwanians have helped eradicate diseases, build schools, shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, and improve communities one child at a time.  In the process, members build enduring friendships, participate in fun and fellowship, sharpen leadership skills, develop business contacts, gain insight into local and international issues, and attain a greater appreciation of their own talents and successes.

The Commitment

Membership: A Kiwanis club is organized around a core membership of selected service-minded men and women who believe children are the future, take pride in our community, want to reach out to those in need, and enjoy meeting new people.

Time: Members are asked to meet every Thursday morning from 7:00-8:00am at the Clarion Hotel on South Broadway for breakfast, project planner, and speakers and to participate in community service and fundraising projects of their choosing.  The more you attend, the more you get out of your membership.

Cost: Members contribute annual dues determined by the club to finance the administrative duties of the club and provide for its commitments to the district and Kiwanis International.  Club service projects provide the funding for community service activity.
